Fun with Xyron & Craftwell!

Xyron & Craftwell Blog Hop!

Hello And Welcome to the 2nd day of the Xyron & Craftwell Summer Hop!

If you arrived from this blog: http://www.pammejoscrapbookflair.com/

You are in the right spot!

Thank you for hopping along on this fun week of crafty inspiration! Today, I wanted to show you a quick card I created with the remnants of a cut out I did with the word: 'BeYOUtiful' !

First of all, I love that play on word! It's so true, and I swear I try to instill this thought in my kids! Only when you are comfortable to be YOU will you truly shine! And speaking of shine, I wanted to use the negative from this die cut, into a card with shimmer and sparkle!

Of course, i used Xyron mega runner to glue the gold sparkl'y' cardstock onto my white card, and some glue dots to put the negative die cut onto the top.

With my sticker maker, I ran the zig zag round flower punch (from the Teresa Collins 'Save the Date' collection), so that it would stay flush on the card. I used some left over embossed scrap to put on the top right corner of the card for added texture and glued using my mega runner and glue dots.

The word 'REMEMBER' is a little cardboard flag from the Maggie Holmes 'Styleboard' Collection.

The pearls are just little pearls that have a sticker backing. I got those from Michaels several years ago. The rest of the stickers are form the Maggie Holmes 'Styleboard' collection as well.

The beautiful embossed flag was done with the eBosser, using the Teresa Collins 'Dotted Chevron' embossing folder.. which I'm a little obsessed with!

I hope you liked this card! Now, keep hopping and have fun!

I'm back! Ok, so I'm still deciding whether or not to keep up with this blog. Im in the process of just condensing my family blog with this blog! So, if I end up going that route, I will update all the info here!

In the meantime, here is a little card I made today in honor of Cinco de Mayo!

I get to post some of my creations on the Craftwell Instagram account, so that makes me happy!

Here is what I used:

Core'dinations white and yellow cardstock
Teresa Collins 'Dotted Chevron' embossing folder

Maggie Holmes 'Styleboard' collection chipboard piece (horse) and (5 cents tag)

DIY Planner 2014

DIY Planner

Happy New Year! I'm so excited for this year as I have set many crafty goals for myself.

One of those goals, include being organized with my life and craft room space. So, the first step to my organization plan  is to schedule my life and of course, write things down in my planner!

I guess this is my cheap version of a filofax planner. I like the filofax planner and it would be fun to get one, but at the same time, i change my mind about the look of things so often that shelling out $60 dollars for a planner that I may not like forever, sounds like too much for me.

Instead, I bought this little binder at Target for $7 dollars. I'm way into gold and orange right now, so when i saw this,  I knew i wanted it to become my new planner! This size of binder fits the Avery refills so it was easy to just put some plain sheets with all the stuff i needed, and gave me the freedom to dress it up with pretty things!

So, here are some pictures of my 2014 planner! Here's to hoping I use it more than last years planner! ;)

I embossed the cardboard projector on my eBosser using the 'Starburst' Folder by Teresa Collins. I used printed cards from We R Memory makers, Teresa Collins 'You are my Happy' collection, and topped it off with some Dear Lizzy 'Fifth and Frolic'stuff.

I used Dear Lizzy thickers to highlight the year & the tabs are stickers from Teresa Collins Collection, 'Daily Stories'

The gold trim is from Teresa Collins 'You are My Happy' Collection.

I had some plastic Avery dividers in my closet that fit the binder, and although they didn't match my planner, I still wanted to add them as I could use them to tape down mini photos and stickers. For extra flair, I embossed them as well with the eBosser!

For this page, I used my Dear Lizzy cutouts from her 'Fifth & Frolic' collection, and some adorable nerdy glasses sticker from You are My Happy collection by TC,

I like the old library card, and the glasses and sparkle from the scalloped trim.

Finally, I embossed the last page with Teresa Collins, 'Decor Circles'folder for the eBosser, and used more thickers, and chipboard pieces to accentuate the page.

I love my planner! And I like that I customized it for me! Is it perfect? Of course not! But then again, what is?

Happy New Years everyone!

Winter Layout

Winter Fun!

Today I'm back with a fun Winter scrapbook layout of my two favorite subjects in the whole world! My kids! These pictures were taken about 2 weeks ago, when the winter storm hit Dallas.

It was the best and worst thing. The best, because there was no school and I got to enjoy my cuties! The worst is because Dallas is not prepared for snow causing everything to shut down and or close, so we came dangerously close to running out of food!

But with the winter white background I decided to get pictures of my snow bunnies. And may i say, that they look mighty cute?

When I saw the pictures I knew i had to create something with them!

And this is what I came up with. Snow, trees, blues and reds. I used Carta Bella's 'Winter Fun' collection. It was perfect for this layout!

I layered white on white cardstock as I wanted to mimic snow and the whiteness and brightness of the pictures, but it looked too plain when it was layered. So, what I did was emboss the letter size cardstock on the eBosser and used the 'Delicate Dots' embossing folder to bring texture to the layout and create the illusion of "falling snow".

Also, I used scraps of this collection, because I had scraps. I used the strips of some of my leftover papers and just created a frame around the embossed sheet.

Check out the crisp embossing! It's gorgeous! I tied the dots on the trees with the texture to make it all come together.

I did have a ton of stickers from the collection, which really was nice to add to the layout, because my handwriting is awful!

I hope you liked my project! I love it when things come together so nicely, when not planned. I knew those picture where beautiful but I had no plans of scrapbooking them, so it was nice to now have this immortalized in a scrapbook page.

Teresa Collins 'In Time for the Holidays' Blog Hop!

Teresa Collins 'In Time for the Holidays' Blog Hop!

Welcome to Day 5 and the final day of the Teresa Collins Holiday Blog Hop!

Today, I went a little overboard while wrapping my daughters Christmas present.

Olivia is 6, and she is into pink, and sparkles and most recently into her glasses. She recently got some prescription glasses after we found out that she had a terrible eye sight. So terrible, that she may need surgery in a few months, but right now she's wearing some high prescription glasses and we are hoping this will delay or eliminate the need for surgery later on.

I made the whole getting glasses experience really fun, and got her the highest index glass possible, because she is so far sided that otherwise her glasses would look like coke bottles... NO JOKE.

Not wanting to chance her getting picked on at school, we went with a trendy pair. And now she LOVES them! And all her friends tell her how great she looks, which really makes her feel good.

                         She looks pretty rad!

Wanting to celebrate her new look, and improved "outlook" on life, I wrapped her Christmas gift (from Mommy & Daddy)with all things nerdy & cool!

OK, OK. This did take me a really long time! I stamped brown paper with some nerdy glasses stamp I got at Michaels (dollar section) in pink, and made a tag that I embossed with Teresa Collins eBosser & her 'Houndstooth' folder.

The 'Houndstooth' folder is perfect! It reminds me of nerdy plaid!

The emboss is as deep as it can go without ripping, and it's seriously beautiful!

I'm hoping she likes it! The gift, and the gift wrap too! ;)

But now, lets give YOU a chance to win the Teresa Collins eBosser for the Holidays!
