Guest Spot at the Craftwell Blog!

'Adore' Layout

Oh, Olivia how much do I ADORE you! I seriously love this little girl. She is stubborn, she is complicated, she loves pickles and licking limes. She is so sweet and caring and so mischievous too!

She didn't make fun of me when i fell off a scooter a few months ago... YES, I fell off a scooter! It's a long story...

She is simply ADORABLE and I love her.

So I made this layout in honor or her and her sweet sun glasses. She had these sunglasses for about 1 month last year, and she looks so beautiful.. but she lost them.

Still I think she's gorgeous no matter what!

If you want to look at the list of materials I used for this layout, visit the Craftwell blog where, I'm a guest designer today!

And give me tips on photographing layouts! I'm not good at that!

Craftwell Mini Blog Hop!

Mini Blog Hop, Big SAVINGS!

Hello, and welcome to Craftwell's Mini Blog Hop! If you have arrived here from,http://lawnfawn.blogspot.com/ You are in the right place!

So, excited to be participating in this hop, as I seriously use the eBosser in EVERYTHING I make! And since we are close to Father's Day, why not take advantage of today's eBosser savings and save DAD a few bucks, eh?

For this hop, I decided to make a few cards to showcase the amazing embossing this machine can do! The best feature of this machine is that it works with some embossing folders I already had on hand so, no need to purchase anything new!

For these projects however, I did use the Craftwell's embossing folders, but again, you can use what you have!

For this 'Dream' card, I used the 'Divine Damask' folder. I absolutely love this pattern!

Delicate Dots is an essential folder to have! it's large (letter size) and the dots emboss like a dream!

Lastly, I used the 'Make a Wish' folder for a quick card. I used chalk ink pads to add this crazy "sherbet" look to the card. It was quick and easy!

And while I use my eBosser primarily for paper, I'm beginning to use it with fondant, and will soon graduate to felt (planning on creating some Christmas decor!)

If you wish to order the eBosser and take advantage of the $199 deal, be sure to click on the upper right hand corner, to be taken to Craftwell's shop!

And keep on hopping, your last stop is Craftwell's blog, where you can enter to win some of these amazing embossing folders!

Thanks for Visiting!

Wish...

Make a Wish

I'm back with a little project I created a couple of days ago, using the eBosser and the 'Whimsical Wishes' embossing folder.

I wanted to create a card using this folder, but I wasn't sure what I wanted it to look like. I mean, when you emboss a piece
of cardstock with this folder, you are pretty much done. The emboss is gorgeous and you can feel good about gifting the card as is, but seeing so many crafter's put their own spin on this folder, I wanted to give it go.. mind you it was LATE like 2am when I was doing this, so at the time it looked awesome!

I went with a very whimsical take to the design. I wanted a candle, and pictured this card for a little girls bday. I used my chalk ink to accentuate the embossed details on the folder, and added some sparkle by cutting some letters out of left over glitter chipboard.

I wanted to really pop the gold, and cut a tiny bow for the girls hair.

Again, this is a fun spin on the folder, so I went far!

What do you think? Have you created a card with this folder? link it up! i would love to see your take on it!

Lately...

Life Lately...

So, don't think I want to pull the plug on this little blog! I have big plans!

For now, I wanted to post some pictures of my trip to NYC a few weeks ago. Life here is busier than ever, by my lovely kiddos are out of school for the summer, and now I can dedicate more time to my little piece of the internet!

I went to NYC for the CLA Stationary Show, and it was a blast! As some of you know, I work for Craftwell a company based in NYC, and while I had been to NYC before, I love seeing my Craftwell family whenever possible! And visiting Manhattan! There is always something new or some new restaurant to try! Craftwell tends to spoil me when I make it there!

Love the architecture of NYC! Those fire escapes are so classy and dreamy!

While in NYC I got to visit MOMA. I love going to the museums! I can't wait to take my kids there someday! And someday, may be soon!

I love that Craftwell appreciates and respects my beliefs! They even took me to the LDS church while in Manhattan on my day off!

Because  I appreciate architecture and respect all religions, I wanted to visit the St. Patrick's Cathedral. It is so beautiful and breathtaking!

But I was there to work! So after a fun weekend, we had to head to the show! The eBosser was a success! People LOVED everything about the machine!

And how can you not?! This machine is of HIGH quality! We even opened the machine to show everyone what the inside of the eBosser looked like! No plastic parts here people!

Tired of walking about 12 miles! NO JOKE. We walked a ton! My Texan self was struggling to keep up with these New Yorkers!

Anyway, this is my life lately, and I'm loving it! I will be back with a few projects I have made! It seems with summer here, so is my itch to craft!

See you soon!
